International City Theatre’s 25th Anniversary Season
On February 23, the International City Theatre opened for its 25th season in Long Beach. It is recognized as the only professional theatre group in the city and has received over 200 awards, including the 2000 Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle’s Award for Sustained Excellence in the Theatre. It is just one more example of the quality and diversity of the arts in Long Beach.
What does that mean for the community? It means that we don’t have to travel to Los Angeles or Orange County to see quality theatre. We can stay in our own wonderful city and see the same shows that are seen on Broadway, many of which are West Coast premiers. Prices are reasonable and they have some special offers that include dinner at L’Opera or the Sky Room. Check them out and support local arts.
